Deborah was born in Massachusetts and raised in New England. When she was twenty years old she moved to New York to work with the designer Claire McCardell. Deborah became a fashion editor and then realized that her heart was in photography and has been taking photos ever since. Turbeville divides her time between New York and Mexico and recently she has been spending a great deal of time in St. Petersburg, Russia.
